100th Trekker Tested
3 messages :: read>
The Smith Medical Laboratory warmly welcomed the 100th complete set of subject tests from Christopher Price and this was celebrated in the legendary Club Namch? with the usual Mythen flare. Helen and Lee continue to burn up the dance floor, bringing staff and subjects ever closer with their seriously groovy Ceroc teaching session. Alan is now a self-confessed fan of the dance move called the ?wiggle? and Andy Luks, en route from base camp, was not jaded by his walk and proved to be a regular Fred Astaire. Our numbers have swelled this week; the youth and vigour brought to the group by Bobby and Rhys visiting from base camp was complemented by the maturity and wisdom of David Howard and David Coates. This unique blend resulted in one of our liveliest Saturday nights at Namche yet!
Now we?re on the home stretch many of us having been thinking about our friends and family?.we have also been obsessing about certain food stuffs such as bacon/sausages (Alan), olives/muesli (Tracie), port/Bordeaux (Monty), cheese/tangtastic Haribo (Goli), UHT milk (Lee ? must be an Australian thing?), Parma ham/ Billtong (Helen).?so if any trekkers (or friends and family) feel like saving us from certain insanity, gifts of food will be gratefully received. Team Namche will not accept bribes when it comes to the dreaded bike tests, however it does pay to be on our good side!
Dr Jo awaits the arrival of her fianc? Matt - she is so excited that she has been practicing putting on her makeup all week. Unfortunately during one of her long runs a trip resulted in a few unsightly bruises on her face and leg (we hope these will be gone by the wedding). Dick remains a great source of entertainment, an incident this week with a child?s ball pit has been captured on camera and we are considering making this available for a modest fee. Goli?s trade in Namche Youth Group fleeces continues to rocket, her ability to convince handsome young men to buy fleeces is remarkable. Post a comment on this article... Open message form
