Blog Examinations

I am in Belfast, staying with Nigel Hart and his lovely family, and I have just undergone my first Blog examination! Sharon amd Fiona were asking Nigel, Roger McMorrow, and myself questions about the Caudwell Xtreme Everest website. It is amazing just how much we did not know.

Fiona and Sharon were just two of the large number of individuals that sent encouraging emails whilst the team were out in Nepal. They have reminded me that we need to acknowledge the huge debt we owe to our friends and relatives. They had to live with us (and without us) whilst we fulfilled our dreams.

People will always talk about how hard it is to climb Everest, but it is just as hard to let your loved one go to do it.

Kay, It was lovely to meet you in the flesh at the weekend. Once again, thank you to the part you played in keeping us up to date while Nigel was on Everest. It was a truly wonderful achievement to all concerned. Hope to see you on the North Coast next summer.

Luv Rosemary

P.S. You really are a wonderful 'quiz master'! Watch out Anne Robinson..........

Lovely to meet you at the weekend Kay, and Roger & family too, and certainly enjoyed hearing all about the XTE team!

It was such an achievement for you all, and as you say for those family at home was an Xtremely anxious time. We are very proud of Nigel in Belfast for flying the flag, but also of Caroline, for allowing him to go. I tried to lock him in a cupboard once on her behalf to stop him, but he managed to escape......

Hope to see you again, Sharon

If we had known before Dan went, some of the things we have heard about and seen since his safe return, well.......................... And we thought Cho Oyu was bad enough.

We are both very proud of him and the whole team for the dangers they have put themselves through to try and help relieve the suffering of patients in Intensive Care.
