Congratulations!

It has been a weekend of celebration in the Caudwell Xtreme Everest diary. First, and most obviously, the BBC Horizon team did a great job, and we would like to thank them for their hard work in the editing suite over the last few weeks. I am looking forward to next Sunday, to see what happens next! That sounds like a strange thing to say when I was there, but it almost seems more exciting when you are not in the middle of it, and you are not worrying, because you know what happens.

Then, congratulations need to be sent to Mark Wilson, our Research Lead for the Brain group. He got married to the lovely Kelly on Saturday. Quite a few of the team were there to witness this event, and we all looked a lot less scruffy than we did on the TV the following night.

Finally, I handed in my dissertation on Friday, so the champagne came out. Now, all I have to worry about is the viva.

Congratulations all of you and very well done!!

I'm an ordinary person who suffered from Asthma, but I also a new climber. So, I know exactly how difficult and lonely you could be feeling up there and with extremely low level of oxygen.

Thanks for the courage, bravery or faith that you all have, to fulfill and make this great scientific achievement!

Thank you once again and wish you all well and healthy!!

Congratulations to all, on a fantastic programme - to those who pushed themselves to achieve so much physically and medically - and for the superb camerawork which made us appreciate just how much they had achieved.
Last, but not least, to Kay for keeping us so up-to-date throughout, and for finally finishing her dissertation. Proud of you, little sis.

Just wanted to say that I followed your story to EBC and beyond with excitement earlier on in the year, mainly as I trekked out to EBC in April, I seemed to follow hundreds of Yaks with Jagged Globe on the side up through Gorak Shep! The programme last night was absolutely brilliant, I know how rough I felt at BC so hats off to you guys that climbed the mountain all in the name of research. It bought back lots of memories that I had seemed to forget! Well Done to you all.

What an amazing programme, many thanks to the Horizon Team and of course to all the members of the climbing team and support team, who made the film possible. We know of the extreme effort it took us to get to EBC but I wil never forget the joy of seeing everyone come off the mountain safely on 26th May.

Hi Kay,

Just wanted to offer my congrats on a great documentary (Part 1) by the Horizon team. Having been part of Trek L I was very much aware of the struggle some of us had just to get to EBC, little did we know what the guys on the mountain were putting themselves through, a truly remarkable story. Can't wait for next weeks episode!

Many many congratulations to the Horizon team for their hard work to bring the programme to the attention of the wider world. I am sure it will be shown round the world many times.
Would it be possible to put edited version of programme to download and keep for posterity?
