The clock is ticking!

The clock is ticking in more ways than one. The Caudwell Xtreme Everest team have moved offices. For those of you who visited our old offices, we have moved upstairs, one floor, into the rooms that we had used for packing and sorting the 25 tonnes of kit we took to Everest. You will be pleased to know that they have been decorated in the meantime, and we are beginning to look almost civilised! To honour this move, I have had a clock placed above the door opposite my desk, and it is ticking very loudly. This may be because the offices are very quiet, as I am the only one still here.

The other reason that the clock is ticking is because the BBC Horizon programmes are soon to be aired. As you will see from the home page, the first programme goes out two weeks on Sunday. Rob and Ben from the BBC are frantically busy, adding their final touches, and I am receiving almost daily calls for this or that bit of information or photograph. I imagine they are feeling similar to the run up to leaving for Nepal back in March.

The rest of us are now firmly settled back into our normal lives, apart from Christina, who is still travelling in South east Asia, I believe. As a result of re-entering normality, I had stopped blogging. However, I keep receiving the odd comment from people about missing the blogs, so I thought I would write again. This blog is dedicated to John Hart, Nigel's Dad, who has been checking the website daily for changes.

I hope you enjoy the documentaries, John.

Hi Kay
'Bout time we heard from you again! I am also a daily 'checker' and have been feeling very lonely. It's great to hear about the BBC programmes, and looking forward to seeing everyone in November.
Enjoy your new offices, and keep up the good work. I believe hamsters make great companions, although like the clock, they can be rather noisy. Perhaps a few fish ....??
Take care. Mary

Hi Kay,
Thank you for dedicating this blogg to me. I'm very touched and it is very kind of you to think about me.

It was good to get Nigel home again and we are very much looking forward to the two New Horizon programmes soon to be shown.

We note that since you started blogging again that the messages are starting to come in. It reminds of us of your selfless dedication while all our loved ones where up the mountain and you kept us informed of what was going on through your daily bloggs.

We trust the research is going well and will be of benefit to many.

'Hartfelt Thanks'
John Hart

Hi Kay,
Glad to see the blogs have made a reappearance, i am of course an avid fan :).
I'm back in Kathmandu now- which is starting to feel like a second home. After 2 months of cycling through India- over passes higher than Base Camp. Felts like an endless CPX bike test- but with great views.

Definitely looking forward to seeing you all in Archway- missing you lots. There seems to be lots of exciting things going on there at the moment.
Hi to everyone- especially Big Didi (Paula).
love Christina
