BBC News reports

The BBC Horizon Team

7 messages :: read>

Friday is going to be busy day for Mike Grocott, our expedition leader. Radio Five Live and Breakfast TV news want live interviews, and then he may be appearing live on BBC News 24 and BBC radio as well.

Later in the day he may appear on BBC One O'clock news, and then again on BBC News at 6pm and 10pm. Of course, this all depends on what other news is happening tomorrow. The BBC crew here have also been filming some of Trek B undergoing testing in our Drash Laboratories here at Everest Base Camp.

The weather here is currently very sunny, but it will switch from sun to snow within minutes every single day. Currently, the EBC staff are waiting to welcome all the climbers back down from Camp One. No doubt, they will arrive very tired, hungry and dehydrated from their short jaunt up the mountain. It will be good to see them safe and well.

Heard the interview with Mike on Five Live this morning, and saw a piece on News 24 - sounded great with a cool time delay making it sound like you're on another planet! Can't wait to get started. See you all end of May - Richard

BBC America had an excellent interview this morning, and it certainly looked cold. Cannot wait to see the documentary of the expedition.

Kay, Amazing that out in the wilderness, interviews for the press are lined up. I hope all the climbers arrive back safely and recuperate quickly. Continued best wishes to you all.
