The Mountain Song Top 20
10 messages :: read>
When in Kathmandu, the Caudwell Xtreme Team came up with a list of top 20 mountain songs. These songs may not have the word ?mountain? in the title, but did refer to mountains in the lyrics, or fitted with an Everest theme. Songs about hills were rejected. The top 20 is listed below:
1. Top of the world
2. Stairway to Heaven
3. Climb every Mountain
4. Mountain high, valley deep
5. She?ll be coming round the mountain when she comes
6. Skyscraper
7. Eternal flame
8. All things bright and beautiful
9. Jerusalem
10. Run to the hills (even though it includes the world ?hill? the general feeling was that the song was too good to exclude!)
11. Voodoo child
12. La Cage aux Folles
13. The U2 song from the Joshua Tree
14. The mountains of More
15. Rocky mountain high
16. Blue ridge mountains of Virginia
17. Move any mountain
18. Edelweis
19. Misty mountain hop
20. Hall of the mountain king
