Happy New Year
1 message :: read>
I cannot believe it is 2007. When I first got involved in this project at the beginning of 2004, 2007 seemed such a long way away!
If the team thought they were working hard before Christmas, they aint seen nothng yet. Tomorrow, we finish off setting up the lab at Archway, and on Wednesday we carry out an induction day for all our lab staff.
Then, on Thursday the first of the trekkers arrive, and the six week testing programme begins! So, if you have not booked your testing date yet, and you are an Xtreme Everest trekker, then you need to contact me urgently to book your slot.
As we will be in the laboratory all day, five days a week, we will have to respond to phone calls and emails in the evening. That is why I say that we will be working even harder than we were before. This said, please do not take this as a moan, I am just telling it how it is.
Finally, it is great to welcome aboard all of our lab staff. One of them, Gwen, arrived from South Africa at midday today, so she spent New Year's Day on an aeroplane just to be with us for the start of testing.
On behalf of the Xtreme Everest team, I would like to wish you all a happy new year. Post a comment on this article... Open message form
