The Climbing Team - 24th May

The Caudwell Xtreme Everest Team are pleased to announce that Michael Brown, Roger McMorrow, Jeremy Windsor, and Mick O?Dwyer summitted Everest from the south side this morning (Nepal time). They were joined by Ang Kaji Sherpa, Lila B. Basnet (Chhombe), Dawa Tenji Sherpa, Pemba Gyalzen Sherpa, and Pemba Nuru Sherpa. They are all now resting at Camp Four at the South Col. Paul Gunning had also started out for the summit, but turned back after reaching 8400m.

Nigel Hart, Dave Rasmussen, Vijay Ahuja, Maryam Khosravi, Dan Martin and Paul Gunning are moving down from Camp Four to Camp Two today. Mike Grocott, Sundeep Dhillon, Andre Vercueil, and Chris Imray are staying at Camp Four to receive today?s summiteers. Denny Levett and Patrick Doyle are remaining at Camp Two. Graham Hoyland is moving down to Base Camp.

Caudwell Xtreme Everest would like to acknowledge the unbelievable support from their Sherpa Team led by Pema Tharki Sherpa and Mingma Tsiri Sherpa, without whom none of this would have been possible.
