Good News

Mac has returned with the last of our Sherpa team from Lukla. All the equipment is finally off the mountain, and we can get sorted for leaving for the UK.

The sun is out in the garden of the Summit Hotel as I write thia. I understand that the weather in the UK is not so good - lots of rain. So we must make the most of our last 24 hours. Tomorrow it is already a month since our first climbers summited Everest. It is amazing how quickly time passes. Some of our team will have completed their first week back in their day jobs.

We have a final farewell to make to our Nepalese support team, and they will have a Puja next week to thank the Gods for everyone's safe return from the mountain. My next blog will be posted in the UK, as I need to pack the equipment today, so have a good weekend.

Dear Kay

Wishing you a safe journey home and a big welcome back to the UK. Thank you so much for all your thoughts and writings which have kept us enthralled and up to date with the progress of all the trekkers and climbers. It has been an amazing expedition; good luck with all the research to be undertaken back in London: we look forward to learning more of the results. A big CONGRATULATIONS to everyone involved on their amazing achievements.

Please keep the website going!

Our best wishes,

Liz and Dave Bradbury.

Kay,
As an avid (some might say obsessed) follower of the Xtreme Everest Blogs, as a friend of Nigel Hart, I just want to thank you for all your updates. Have really enjoyed reading them over the past few months. Will never ever be there, but feel I now have a little insight into what it is like. You have all worked so hard and deserve a good rest.
Many thanks,
Sharon Cox

Hi Kay
Great to hear Mac's back. So excited to think that by the time this blog is posted, you will be reading it from the UK.
Can't wait to see you now. You'll be home before Kev, who's still in the USA!!
Lots of love
Mary

Miss Kay,
I would imagine you are getting ready for culture shock! Just imagine walking down the street to the grocery store or pharmacy. Now there's a great idea!
Have a safe trip home and a wonderful reunion with all your loved ones. Thank you for all the updates. You have been wonderfully consistent and diligent.
Best wishes.
Lamont
