Clean!

I am back in the Summit Hotel in Kathmandu, and revelling in the ability to feel clean every single day! All of the Caudwell Xtreme Team have made it back to Kathmandu except Mac, who is currently in Tsangboche, supervising the return of the final pieces of equipment to Kathmandu. Unfortunately, this led to him missing our thank you party for our climbing and base camp Sherpa team. The party was a huge success, even though we missed Mac?s unique style of dancing. He would have loved the seventies sounds that the DJ played all night.

A few of the team members have already left for home, but the majority leave this evening. We wish them a safe and pleasant trip home to family and friends.

For those few of us who will remain in Kathmandu, we will spend the next week sorting the gear that has come down off the mountain, and preparing all our samples for shipment. World Courier is on stand by to assist us in this regard.

Miss Kay, Glad to hear you are gradully returning to a daily hygiene schedule. I too am hopeful of your continued comments to keep us "blog-addicts" up to date with the results of the research. I had dinner with my son,Ryan, last week and was amazed at the weight loss from the expedition. I enjoyed his comments of your politeness and kindness. Based on his intake at the dinner, I anticipate the weight to return quickly. Continued safe journey and best wishes........Lamont

Dear Kay,
Relieved to know you're back safe and sound and enjoying the party. We look forward to seeing you next week, though will we recognise someone as thin as Kay Moss?

I too will suffer from Blogg withdrawal symptoms. I have followed everything since my husband and son (Keith and Kieran of Trek B) left for their adventure and am missing the daily Blogg 'fix'. So glad that everything went well and that you all enjoyed a great party. Safe journey home to you all. Hope you can still give us occasional updates re. research etc. Thanks again for all your efforts.

Like many others, I have checked this website regularly, reading all the blogs and the news. My dad, (Nigel Hart), got back yesterday, and we are very pleased, but it is good to know that you are very clean!!
