French Manicure

Seven days to go and I am feeling in the need of doing something girly before three and a half months of fleeces and thermals. I am in Cheltenham visiting my parents, and went shopping with my two sisters today. I decided to be really indulgent and had my nails done. This may seem a bit mad, when I am about to break them all moving barrels and toughcases around, but I don't care!

Next week will be spent tying up loose ends, sourcing those last few bits and pieces that we all still need, and saying 'auf wiedersehen' to friends and family. I cannot believe that after 3 years of serious planning we are actually going! In no time at all we will be arriving at Heathrow, ready for the off.

Dear Kay,
Safe journey to all. I don't know if you are aware but Mike Grocott agreed for the team to take some of my young son's remains to Everest. It was always his dream to climb Everest. Unfortunately,he died of accidental anaphylactic shock at the age of 21. We met with Dr. George Rodway in Philadelphia on Feb. 19 to make the transfer. He mentioned that you would be instrumental on the communications end of the trip. I hope that my son's wonderful spirit journies with all of you. I signed up on the mailing list for updates and would appreciate hearing from you also.
