The following people have successfully made it back to Camp 1 where they hope to launch their bid on the summit in the next few days:

Mike Grocott
Denny Levett
Hugh Montgomery
Sundeep Dhillon
Paul Gunning
Patrick Doyle
Alex Van Tulleken
Chris Van Tulleken
Kay Mitchell
Maryam Khosravi
Nikki Kolfschoten
Dan Martin
Chris Imray

Mike Grocott reports that all the team are well, even though the journey back up to Camp 1 was hard work due to the conditions, the altitude, steep scree slope and deep snow that had to be overcome.

The team have been resting today and will probably rest there tomorrow as well, spending most of their time melting snow for drinking water.

There is one large ?living? tent that can accommodate about 10 people sitting and about 7 sleeping. This is where most of the team will be resting and socialising, playing cards and swapping ?climbing? stories!

The weather up there is beautiful reports Mike, although very cold at night. On average, the temperature drops by 2 C per thousand feet, so at around 2500? higher than ABC the temperature would have been about 5 C colder than down here ? that?s -18 C last night!

The team are in high spirits and with the weather improving on a daily basis, they might have a shot at the summit after all ? watch this space to find out how their progress up the mountain continues.
