On both the Cho Oyu rehearsal expedition and on Xtreme Everest, the team will be taking many blood and tissue samples. These have to be stored before in very tightly controlled conditions to that they don?t become damaged.

The portable Waeco fridges allow the team to set an acceptable temperature band, which also includes preventing the samples getting too cold, which could easily happen over night at high altitude without the right equipment.
